I always were interested in the loot mechanics and game monetization systems.

Personally I liked the pity timers in cardgames like Causa or Hearthstone and the "events" in game that are usually pretty fun and generous.

Hearthstone with new mercenaries mode is gatcha-like minigame and we can also see some changes with game monetization with it. I liked the article because of short and simplified form (two main game systems we are into, advantages and disadvantages etc). I also had fun with Genshin Impact but it was not my game at all mainly because of the system you described. As a reader and gaming enthusiast I find this article easy to read and understand. I think that main pros and cons of the systems won't change soon, but new systems - as you mentioned in the end sir - would be amazing to see.
